English Development Built Around the Way People Actually Talk and Work.
Customized instruction that helps professionals communicate with greater clarity, confidence, and command—in meetings, presentations, writing, leadership, and everyday business.
From employee training to employee development—and ultimately, organizational English-language capability.
The Cross Colors approach
Language learning connected to real professional demands.
Every program begins with the people, responsibilities, and communication environment of the organization. We identify current competency, define practical goals, and design instruction around the moments where English matters most.
Participants do more than study English. They practice the language of their work—so development is immediately relevant and progress can be seen in performance.

A clear path forward
Development at every level.
Participants enter at the level that reflects their current ability and advance through a structured continuum.
01
Building the Foundation
Begin communicating through greetings, introductions, and simple everyday exchanges. Develop clear use of essential verbs—including be, have, and do—and correct pronoun forms to describe yourself, ask basic questions, and express immediate needs.
02
Everyday Communication
Build confidence discussing routines, past experiences, and future plans. Strengthen verb usage, question formation, and prepositions for time, place, and movement while introducing common phrasal verbs used in everyday conversations.
03
Expanding Expression
Move into longer conversations about experiences, preferences, possibilities, and decisions. Use conditional statements and questions, infinitives and gerunds, and introductory perfect tenses to explain what you mean with greater clarity and flexibility.
04
Confident, Flexible Communication
Handle detailed discussions, explain outcomes, and explore hypothetical situations. Strengthen perfect tenses and conditional expressions, shift between active and passive constructions to emphasize actions or results, and use idiomatic expressions and phrasal verbs naturally.
05
Advanced Communication
Communicate complex ideas with precision, nuance, and confidence in professional and social settings. Integrate advanced language fundamentals—from perfect tenses and conditionals to prepositions, infinitives, and gerunds—while choosing idioms, phrasal verbs, and active or passive phrasing to suit your audience and purpose.
Proven in the workplace
More than 1,000 people trained across cultures, professions, and borders.
For more than 13 years, Cross Colors Language Institute has trained over 1,000 individuals through partnerships with organizations in Puerto Rico and beyond, as well as through private instruction. Oriental Bank is one valued long-term partner among the many organizations we have served.
While most of our learners have been Puerto Rican, our classrooms have also welcomed professionals and adults from Colombia, Mexico, Honduras, Venezuela, El Salvador, Turkey, Cuba, and other parts of the Caribbean and South America.
This broad experience has shaped a practical model for banking, corporate operations, administration, education, medicine, management, customer communication, the arts, and other environments where confidence and clarity matter.
“The strongest language program does not separate English from the work. It makes communication part of professional development.”
Leadership & philosophy
Message from the President
Rarmoud Coleman President, Cross Colors Language Institute
Cross Colors Language Institute is an English-language training school designed for business professionals, adults, actors, singers, and entertainers. We specialize in development for upper- and senior-level managers, administrators, educators, medical professionals, and others whose success depends on clear, confident communication.
Our program does more than teach English—we make the language come alive through our Interactive Dramatic Communicative Approach (IDCA). Engaging discussion, focused conversation, improvisation, role-playing, and interactive group dynamics keep every class active from beginning to end. Students spend their time speaking and applying the language, not simply taking notes.
Grammar is taught at every level to establish a strong understanding of vocabulary, verbs, verb tenses, prepositions, idioms, and sentence structure. But memorization alone is not enough. We empower students to form their own sentences, express their own ideas, and respond naturally in realistic situations.
Discussion is central to our method because it gives students an emotional and intellectual connection to each lesson. We explore what they think, feel, and understand through guided topics that are practical and relevant. Whether beginner or advanced, students communicate in the target language and take part in conversational practice during every class. That is how knowledge becomes confidence—and how English becomes a living skill.
